Organic awesomeness

So Thursdays are my weekly shopping day. I was talking to my mother this morning, like I do every day, and she mentioned getting a baby bullet to grind up some fresh fruit and veggies for Korra to eat. Liking the idea, sis and I get ready to go to the store with Korra. I pick out a lot of different thinks like apples pears peaches bananas and an assortment of veggies as well. And we then proceed to the baby section to get the baby food grinder. I’m imagining all of the work that has to go into it and I’m dreading it already… But to my surprise it was a very simple process.

We steam almost everything after cleaning and cutting the various items. My sister and I had fun working in the kitchen today! Korra was sitting in her high chair being the taste tester after we got done with each dish. It was funny seeing the different faces she would make when tasting something tart like strawberries. After we got done with each dish, I separated it into an ice cube tray and put it in the freezer for safe storage. When she is ready to eat it, I will pop a single serving out of the ice cube tray and nuke it in the microwave for a second. It was much easier than I had previously imagined and well worth the effort to make sure my sweet baby girl gets fresh fruits and veggies every day.
